Language Arts
It is hard to believe that this school year is coming to a close. This has been an incredible year, but it is not over yet. This week, we will finish presenting our reading projects to our classmates and the students will complete some end of the year activities. Due to software issues, we will finish all other components for the Wax Museum at the beginning of next year. You might want to mark your calendars for September 14th as our Wax Museum night. This will be the evening the students get to dress up as their character and show off all their hard work!! The students will receive their Summer Reading requirements with their report cards. Please make sure your child continues to read daily all summer.
Homework
There is no "official" homework the rest of the school year.
Social Studies
This week in Social Studies, students will be finishing up a project they started last week. They are working in groups and creating a poster about a Social Studies topic assigned to them. Students will also compose a timeline of events and list key vocabulary and definitions relating to the topic. Students will finish their projects on Tuesday, and groups will present on Thursday and Friday.
There will be no homework assigned this week.
