Week of February 27-March 3
Language Arts
We will continue to work on our Informational Expository and Procedural Text skills on Monday. On Wednesday, we will have our last practice STAAR Reading test. The students have been working hard and are really trying to reach their goal. We are so proud of their hard work and determination. On Friday, your child will need to bring their headset or earbuds. They will be using the Chromebooks to utilize Learning Farm to address their area of need based off of their Reading test results.
Homework
No regular homework this week, but READING LOGS AND THEIR THREE PROJECTS ARE DUE ON FRIDAY, MARCH 3RD, BOTH OF THESE ARE MAJOR GRADES.
Social Studies
This week, our schedule will be a little different. On Tuesday, students will be given a study guide for our middle of the year DCC social studies test. This is a district test that tests the students on concepts we have covered in class. We will spend the majority of the class period reviewing the study guide and the concepts we have already covered. The test will be on Tuesday, March 7th. On Thursday, our campus will participate in "JA in a day." This is a Junior Achievement program. Students from The Woodlands High School will come and present lessons to our classes teaching about economics and free enterprise. We are looking forward to the exciting activities they have planned for our students.
There will be no geography homework this week. Homework will be for the students to study for the DCC test.
