Language Arts
On Monday and Wednesday, we will explain the roles and functions of characters in various plots, including their relationships, and conflicts. The students will complete several anchor stations to display their understanding. On Wednesday, we will also be going to the library, so please make sure your child brings back their library books. Friday is our district's first half day, so our LC decided to make this a "Read in the Dark Day". This means your child can bring a flashlight, a non-messy snack, and their favorite book(s). We will be staying in our homerooms and the time we are in our classroom, we will be reading in the dark. Fun!!
Reading Log Information
The students will be receiving their new reading log on Monday, October 17th. The due date for the second Reading Log will be December 9th. Please help your child keep up with the required reading. There is an increase in the amount of books on the reading log. The books we are reading in class can also be used on the reading log. This gives the students eight weeks to complete six books. Thank you for your support.
