9/30 Quiz over Four Types of Conflict
This week, we will continue to composing our Personal Narrative. We will also finish working on Internal and External Conflict in story. We will move on to the Four Types of Conflict which is a more depth level at learning about conflicts in a story. The students will create a foldable comparing all the different types of conflicts and complete an activity using the definitions of each conflict. On Friday, September 30th, the students will have a quiz over the Four Types of Conflict.
Homework
Remember your child should be reading every evening for at least 30 minutes. The students should also study for the quiz on Friday.
(on Thursday evening, ask your child what are the Four Types of Conflicts and have them give you examples of each...this will be a great review for them. Thanks!!)
Social Studies
This week, we will continue to learn and completing activities about explorers. We will be concentrating on explorers from Spain and The Columbian Exchange. We will also learning and recording details about the Settlement of St. Augustine.
On Tuesday, the students will receive a study guide for the test on exploration. The test will be on October 3rd. Students will also receive geography homework for this week. It will be due on Thursday of this week.
