This week,  we will begin Ch. 11 over Economic Growth and Immigration. We will be learning about Inventors and Inventions. Students will identify important inventors from the period and match them to key inventions.  We will also be discussing the impact of big business.  Students will be able to explain how individuals and businesses made decisions about taking risks based upon a hope for profit.  They will also describe how the growth of big business, such as steel, oil, and railroads, had an impact on increased urbanization.
